CaminoFinder

Terms

These terms describe how to use CaminoFinder. They follow the product that is published. CaminoFinder is not an official Camino authority.

Planning information

CaminoFinder publishes route maps, place guides, and planning notes. It is not a transport operator, a lodging agent, or a guide on the ground. You remain responsible for the journey you actually take.

Distance, elevation, and walking time

Stage distance is measured along the mapped geometry. Elevation is approximate. Walking time is a planning estimate from mapped distance and ascent. Breaks, descent, fitness, weather, and surface are not included. These figures can change, and they are not a promise of how long a day will take.

Lodging registry

Accommodation shown from the Turismo de Galicia registry is a registry record that passed CaminoFinder's publication checks. A listing does not mean the establishment is open, available, bookable, suitable, or recommended, and it does not state a price. The distance shown is straight-line geodesic proximity. It is not walking distance, walking time, or proof that you can reach the door from the trail.

Public sources

Route geometry, place names, and registry facts come from outside sources. Those sources can change, and a page can be wrong or incomplete. Attribution is on the Data Sources page and on the pages that use each source. CaminoFinder does not own those official datasets.

Your journey

Check conditions before you walk. Do not treat a page, a distance, or a lodging card as an instruction to take a particular road, bed, or timetable.

My Camino

My Camino is a private notebook for a plan you are preparing. Notes, stays, and day order are yours to enter and yours to keep accurate. They do not change the published routes.

Using the site

Do not try to break the service, interfere with other people's accounts, or submit condition reports you know are false. Do not present CaminoFinder as an official route authority.

Availability

Pages, maps, and sign-in can be interrupted, changed, or removed. A feature that exists today may not stay in the same form.

Maps, email delivery, and links to source catalogs are operated by other parties. Their terms apply to those services. CaminoFinder does not control them.

Credit

Public datasets keep the credit named on the site, including Turismo de Galicia / Xunta de Galicia for registry facts and the route and elevation sources named on Data Sources. Text you type into My Camino is not claimed as a CaminoFinder dataset.

Limits

Use CaminoFinder as planning information. It may be incomplete or out of date. CaminoFinder is not responsible for travel, lodging, or routing decisions you make from it, or for errors in public source data.
